Profile 2.0, or BD Live adds internet connection capabilities, support content downloads, 1GB of local storage and other interactive features.
DVD upconversion is the fourth thing to consider. Blu-ray players can also play standard definition discs, so they are not limited to just Blu-ray discs. With HDMI connection, they can also upconvert the DVDs to 1080p. The picture quality will improve by upconverted dvd over a regular run of the mill DVD player.
Ability to play video games is the fifth thing to consider. You are lucky, if you have high definition movies as well as video games in one box.
